Before winning promotion last season, the Third Division side had claimed a record 20 league scalps in their non-league days. Adding to that total would kill off Liverpool's sole realistic hope of domestic silverware this season. The winners in 2001 will be looking to the likes of Michael Owen , Steven Gerrard and Harry Kewell to guard against a massive shock exit.
